    Coaching has been a life changing experience for me. I have done many diets and always lost weight but as soon as I got off the diet the weight came right back. When Coaching was presented to me I immediately rejected the program. I thought it would be like everything else I had tried. Much to my surprise, I was wrong. I was not given a “diet” to follow but foods were discussed as to good and not so good for me to eat. I have been successful in following the advice given to me and have not given up food I have always enjoyed. Now, I eat smaller portions, on a smaller plate and I have added some foods that I have not eaten before and found I liked them. The one big difference in my daily routine is exercise. I now walk, at my local mall, three times a week and hour each time. All of this has been a positive step in my life and I feel I can continue doing this without failure. Diets do not work but learning how to put balance in my life has worked. Balance is being able to go out to lunch with a friend and knowing how to eat. If I just can’t resist something that I really shouldn’t have, I adjust what I eat at my next meal. I am thankful that my doctor recommended Coaching and that I did it.

    I need this positive reinforcement, left on my own I know I would mess up, I need to be accountable to someone. I am a slow loser but I didn’t gain weight fast so I know this will take awhile. There is no magic pill here, it is a life style change.

    In August 2013, I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic with borderline numbers and weighing 306lbs. My doctor sent me to a diabetes class and I began a coaching schedule in her office with coach Glauce. She worked on diet, an exercise program and educated me on proper control of my nutrition. I have gotten my blood sugar numbers back into the normal range and have lost 45lbs! My blood pressure levels have been lowered to consistent lower levels and my energy has increased. I was having continuous back pain but that subsided with the lower weight and strengthening. My goal is to lose another 55lbs minimum and I feel the efforts of my doctor and Coach Glauce will get me there!!
